- access our masterclasses or member community;

- otherwise communicate or interact with us.

This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Breakthrough Membership Terms and any applicable terms of third-party platforms we use to provide Breakthrough.

For the purposes of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, Breakthrough Actors Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, except where another organisation acts as an independent controller in relation to its own services.

2. Personal information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Breakthrough.
2.1 Information you provide to us

Account and profile information
Your name, email address, account details, profile photograph, biography, acting background, preferences and other information you choose to add to your member profile.
Membership information
Your membership level, subscription status, joining date, renewal and cancellation information, and the benefits or content available to your account.
Payment and transaction information
Information about payments made to Breakthrough, including the amount, date, membership purchased, payment status and limited billing information.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We do not normally receive or store your full payment card details.
Community information
Posts, comments, replies, reactions, messages and other content you choose to contribute through the Breakthrough community.
Please remember that information posted in community spaces may be visible to other Breakthrough members with access to that space.
Workshop and event information
RSVPs, bookings, attendance records, guest-list information and information required to administer online workshops and in-person events.
Accessibility information
If you ask us to make an accessibility adjustment, you may choose to provide information about your health, disability or other circumstances. We will use this only as reasonably necessary to understand and respond to your request.
Newsletter information
Your email address and any other information you choose to provide when subscribing to Breakthrough emails.
Communications
Emails, support requests, complaints, feedback, survey responses and other communications you send to us.
2.2 Recordings, photographs and participation
Breakthrough may record certain online workshops, Q&As, talks or events.
If you voluntarily speak, appear on camera, ask a question or otherwise participate in a recorded session, your image, voice, name or contribution may be captured as part of that recording.
Where appropriate, we will make attendees aware that a session is being recorded.
Recordings may be made available within Breakthrough for member learning and operational purposes.
We will seek separate appropriate permission where required before using an identifiable member as the focus of a commercial testimonial, promotional interview or similar advertising content.
Breakthrough events may also be photographed or filmed for purposes including:
- documenting the event;
- communicating with members;
- our website;
- social media;
- marketing Breakthrough; and
- other legitimate business communications.
We will make reasonable efforts to make attendees aware when photography or filming is taking place.
If you do not want to be prominently identifiable, please contact us before the event and tell a member of the Breakthrough team when you arrive. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
Because live events take place in group environments, we cannot guarantee that an attendee will never appear incidentally in background or crowd footage.

Used to operate member accounts, memberships, masterclasses, community spaces, workshops and events.
Payment providers such as Stripe
Used to process membership payments, recurring subscriptions, refunds and fraud checks.
Webflow
Used to operate and host our public website. Information submitted through website forms may also be stored by Webflow.
MailerLite
Used to manage newsletter subscribers and send marketing communications.
For example, when you enter your email address into the newsletter form on our website, that information may be submitted through Webflow and passed to MailerLite.
Analytics and website tools
Including Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity.
4. How we use your information

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website and member services.

- event venues and operational suppliers;
- professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers, auditors and insurers; and
- IT, security, hosting and infrastructure providers.
For an in-person event, we may provide a venue or event supplier with limited information such as your name, attendance status or accessibility requirements where reasonably necessary to run the event.

- where necessary to protect Breakthrough, our members or another person's rights or safety; or

Community content
For as long as it remains part of the Breakthrough community, unless it is deleted earlier. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or where reasonably necessary to preserve existing discussion context or legal records.
Workshop recordings
For as long as the relevant recording remains available or is reasonably required for Breakthrough's learning or operational purposes.
Event photography and video
For as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was created, subject to applicable rights and requests.
Customer-support communications
Generally for up to 24 months after the matter has been resolved, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary.
Marketing information
Until you unsubscribe or we determine that retaining it is no longer appropriate.
We may keep particular records for longer where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
11. Legacy memberships
Breakthrough has previously offered different membership and access arrangements, including historic annual, founding and lifetime products.
Where necessary, we may retain relevant account, transaction and access information so that we can identify and honour rights attached to those historic arrangements.
